The Drayton plan<\/a> is a spacious low country farmhouse plan. With 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths, there’s room for any family. The 10′ ceilings with extra large 7′ tall windows bring in loads of natural light, and the 9′ island has plenty of space for both cooking and entertaining. The exterior siding is the perfect backdrop for stone or brick accents, and many clients are choosing the board and batten style siding instead of the traditional horizontal lap siding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The split bedroom layout of the Drayton makes it ideal for young families as well as multi-generational living. The rear bedroom has a private bath, which could be used as an in-law suite. The tub can be changed to a shower if necessary, and a door could be added to the back porch to give private access. Expanding the depth and width of the bedroom allows space for a pool bath. Bedroom 4 could easily be changed to a study, or some clients choose to use the large nook as their dining space and make the dining room into an office. Closing off the entrance to the dining room from the kitchen allows for additional kitchen cabinetry along that wall, making a perfect spot for a coffee or wet bar<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The master bedroom has his & hers closets, while the bathroom has a large double vanity and a makeup desk. The storage area in the garage creates an opportunity to expand these areas if needed to create larger closets, a larger shower, or include a freestanding tub. Moving the entrance to the bathroom combines the his & hers into one closet that can then be extended into the garage for a truly amazing master closet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
